Free Home Survey & Removal Assessment
Know Exactly What Your Move Will Cost
No guesswork. No nasty surprises on moving day. Our free home assessment gives you an accurate, honest quote you can plan around.
No obligation. No pressure. Just an honest price.
Why a Home Survey Makes All the Difference
Most removal quotes are based on rough estimates. You describe your home over the phone, the company takes a guess at the volume, and on moving day everyone discovers the quote was wrong.
A proper home survey eliminates that risk entirely. Whether we see your belongings in person or through a video walkthrough, we're measuring the actual volume of your move – not estimating it. That means the right number of vans, the right size team, and a quote that won't change on the day.
It also gives us the chance to spot potential challenges before they become problems. A tight staircase, a low doorframe, a piano on the second floor – these things affect how we plan the move, how long it takes, and what equipment we need to bring. Catching them early means no surprises and no delays.
Whether you upload a video tour, join a quick video call, or have a personal visit from your Move Manager, the result is the same: a quote you can trust, and a moving day that goes to plan.
Get Your Accurate Quote — Choose How
Every move starts with understanding what you have. Pick the option that suits you best — all three are completely free, no obligation.
Video Call
Live video survey with your Move Manager. Walk around your home on your phone — about 15 minutes.
We Come to You
In-person home visit. We check every room, measure access, spot what cameras miss. Recommended for larger or more complex moves.
Send Us a Video
Record a walkthrough on your phone and send it over. Quote back usually same day.
All three options are completely free, no obligation. Jay conducts all surveys personally, and once booked your dedicated Move Manager coordinates everything from there.
"Brilliant experience from start to finish. Jay did a visit of our house and estimated packing materials (which he got completely right). On the day, the team arrived right on time and were incredible. Efficient and understanding of how stressful a move can be. Would definitely recommend."
Your Filming Guide
9 Areas to Cover
Work through each area in order — open everything, show everything, narrate as you go. The more detail you give us, the more accurate your quote.
Film Every Room Slowly
Walk at half your normal pace, pausing on each piece of furniture so we can write it down.
Open Every Cupboard
Wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, bathroom shelves — open them and hold the camera steady inside.
Show Under Beds & Hidden Spaces
Under beds, under the stairs, and in alcoves are the most commonly missed areas.
Cover Garden & Shed
Slow pan around the entire garden. Open shed doors and show everything inside.
State What's Staying
Point the camera at anything not coming and say it clearly: "This shelving unit is staying."
Highlight Specialist Items
Pianos, grandfather clocks, large artwork, gym equipment — show edges and corners so we can plan.
Confirm Appliances
Fridge, oven, washing machine, dishwasher — say clearly for each one: coming or staying?
Lift Covers & Identify
If items are covered with sheets or tarps, lift them on camera — or describe what's underneath.
Show Access Points
Film the front door, path width, driveway, and any steps — this reveals chokepoints and tricky access before moving day.

Our detailed Video Self-Assessment Guide covers exactly what to show in each room, what to say on camera, and expert tips for items that trip people up.

A quick phone estimate might feel easier, but here's why a proper survey saves you time, money, and stress.
Accurate Volume Assessment
We measure your move in cubic feet – not guesswork. This means you get the right number of vans and the right size team, avoiding costly surprises on the day.
Insurance That Actually Covers You
Items we've surveyed are fully covered under our £15,000 Goods in Transit insurance. Choose our packing service and your boxes are covered too. Got anything worth over £2,000? Let us know so we can make sure it's included.
No Hidden Costs
An accurate survey means an accurate quote. The price we give you is the price you pay – no "oh, we didn't realise you had a loft full of boxes" surcharges.
Access Issues Spotted Early
Narrow staircase? Permit parking? Low bridge on the route? We identify potential problems before moving day, not during it.
Packing Materials Calculated
Every survey includes a full packing materials list — how many boxes, rolls of bubble wrap, and wardrobe cartons you'll need. We can supply them, or you can source your own. Either way, a well-packed home is an easy home to move.
Realistic Timeline
We can tell you how long your move will take, whether you need a one-day or two-day service, and plan the logistics around property chains.
What Happens During an In-Person Survey
Jay visits your property and walks through every room with you, noting the volume of belongings, checking access points, and discussing any special requirements. Once your move is booked, your dedicated Move Manager takes over to coordinate everything on the day.
This isn't a sales visit. There's no presentation, no laminated brochures, no "if you sign today" offers. It's a straightforward assessment to make sure your quote is accurate and your move goes smoothly.
Book a Time
Call us or fill in the contact form and we'll arrange a visit at a time that works for you – including evenings if needed.
We Visit Your Home
Your Move Manager walks through the property with you, room by room. They'll note everything and answer any questions on the spot.
Receive Your Quote
You'll receive a detailed, written quote – usually within 48 hours. We'll follow up a few days later to answer any questions.
What We Look At During the Assessment
Every detail matters for an accurate quote. Here's what our team evaluates – whether by video or in person.
Inside Your Home
- • Total volume of furniture and belongings in every room
- • Large or awkward items – pianos, safes, gym equipment, hot tubs
- • Fragile and high-value items requiring special packing
- • Furniture that needs disassembly (beds, wardrobes, desks)
- • Loft contents, built-in storage, and under-stair cupboards
Access & Logistics
- • Parking – can a van get close enough, or do we need a permit?
- • Stairways, narrow hallways, and tight corners
- • Lift availability for flats (size and weight limits)
- • Garden items, sheds, outbuildings
- • Distance to the new property and any access issues there
What Customers Say About Our Surveys
"Recently moved and we were blown away by such an excellent service. We made the inquiry online initially, within a couple of days someone offered to make a visit to our home to ensure they made an accurate evaluation. Jay felt like an old friend whilst discussing options of what would work best for us. It was so wonderful to feel heard."
"They quickly got back to us with a fair quote for the work, as well as a good insight into how much stuff we were likely to have to move, which can only be provided through years of experience."
"Jay came out in person to collect a careful quote – he looked in every cupboard."
